Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Scan2Verify website and identity verification services (“Services”) operated by Scan2Verify (“us”, “we”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Scan2Verify provides identity and document verification services, including:

• Personal Verification: Verification of individual identity documents (passports, national IDs, visas, background check documents).
• Agency Verification: Batch verification of up to 10 individual documents per submission.
• Company Verification: Corporate document verification, including business registration, compliance, and structural documents.

Upon submission, you receive a unique tracking key to monitor the status of your verification. Results are communicated to the email address provided at submission.

3. User Accounts

Certain features require registration. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

All accounts are protected by mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure the security of your identity and submitted documents.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Services to:

• Submit fraudulent, forged, or altered documents.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features.
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access the Services.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) rules.
• Transmit any malware, viruses, or harmful code.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension, reporting to law enforcement, and pursuit of civil or criminal remedies.

5. Payments and Fees

Verification services are subject to fees as published on our Services page. All fees are:

• Stated in USD and inclusive of any applicable platform charges.
• Processed securely through our payment partners supporting international debit/credit cards and mobile money (Africa & Asia).
• Non-refundable once verification processing has commenced, except in cases of platform error.

Prices may be updated at our discretion. Changes will not affect submissions already paid and in progress.

6. Refund Policy

• Refunds are available for submissions that have not yet commenced processing.
• If we are unable to complete verification due to a platform error, a full refund will be issued.
• No refunds will be issued if documents are rejected due to being fraudulent, unreadable, or non-compliant with our requirements.
• Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment to [email protected].

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, software, and materials on the Scan2Verify platform are owned by or licensed to Scan2Verify. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any documents and data you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the requested verification service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. VERIFICATION RESULTS REPRESENT OUR BEST PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO BE ACCEPTED BY ANY SPECIFIC INSTITUTION OR AUTHORITY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCAN2VERIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where prohibited by applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
